We all know that young entreprenuers in Nigeria don’t get the much needed support or encouragement they deserve especially those in tertiary institutions due to negligence by Government and other cooperate bodies
This has led to some of them giving up on their businesses and acquired skills because they lacked the motivation to continue.
This has led to some group of individuals who are known as the prestige anchor international coming together to organize a leadership seminar and award event to encourage young tertiary entrepreneurs in Campus.
PALEC (Prestige Anchor,Leadership, Empowerment Conference) it’s set to encourage young entreprenuers into bead making, bag making, make up Artists, photography, web design etc, the first edition was held at Federal University of Technology Minna ( FUTMINNA), the second edition was held at University of Abuja ( UNIABUJA) the third edition was held at University of Benin ( UNIBEN) And the fourth edition was held at Obafemi Awolowo University ( OAU), Which were very successful,
PALEC AWARD/SLC 5.0 would be held in University of Nigeria Nsukka on the 22nd of February 2020, the first in the south east titled “the Stakhanovites” it is set to be the biggest to be organized so far.
Speaking to Phoenix media crew the leader of the organisation Adebayo Nathaniel Ademola stated that PALEC AWARDS came in a bid to encourage young leaders who have done well in their vibrant Academic environment causing a social change.
Mr Ademola described the youths as the transformers of today adding that what happens to them on campus directly affects the world, and it was what drove them to organize the leadership conference and the empowerment program.
He pointed out that PALEC AWARDS has impacted over 7000 youths and have awarded over 245 individuals who are doing well in their different fields now much more than when they got awarded.
