Not so long after controversial Nigerian rapper AQ released his highly anticipated album ‘God’s Engineering’ we are once again going to be ‘wowed’ with what will go down in history to become of the greatest moments in the history of HipHop in Nigeria.
The ‘Agu Just Ndi Men’ crooner took to Twitter page to repost a tweet made by MI Abaga which hints on the release of their very first joint album. From MI challenging AQ and urging him to release a project with him in 24 hours, we got to see the possibility of history being made and the birth of a whole new kind of wave in the HipHop scene.
The album titled ‘The Live Report: A five day journal’ is set to be released tomorrow being 10 April 2020.
It should be recalled that both rappers came through with their respective projects in the same month this year; 6th March gave MI’s 10th studio project ‘Judah The EP’ which signalled the departure from his label Chocolate City, though the project was surrounded by epic controversy it still hasn’t done well on the charts.
On 20th March his protege and head huncho of the 100 crowns label came through with ‘God’s Engineering’ his fourth studio project which had the ‘A Class Act’ track featuring MI standing out as one of Nigeria’s best rap track according to a publication from Native Mag.
Could this be a really sleek marketing move for both artistes or would it just get watered down and ignored like most HipHop projects in Nigeria? Answers to this question will be included in ‘The Live Report’
